Palo Alto dominates against Mountain View 17-6 on September 19th at home.
Mountain View started strong from the beginning of the game with an aggressive offense that caught our Vikes a little off guard. Mountain View ended up putting the first ball in the back of the net making the score 3-1 at the end of the first quarter.
Although Mountain View may have come out strong, Paly´s Dylan Liao takes the game´s momentum back blocking some shots and passes to keep them in the game.
¨We destroyed them, and I got 5 blocks!¨ Liao (26´) said.
After the first quarter Paly really took the lead, not giving the Spartans any breathing room. They ended the game with a 17-6 score that night.
Paly also played against Mountain View just recently in October and just like in their last game they destroyed the Spartans, this time the score was 15-3
¨Coach was able to make real rotations for players who are normally on the bench¨ Liao (26´) said.
As Paly looks ahead to their season winding down, they’re sitting at a 7-9 record. Although they are 5th place in the league they still have a chance to move up a couple of spots and qualify for CCS.
