Paly Girls Field Hockey fell to Los Altos on Tuesday, September 24 in their first matchup against the Eagles.
Paly Field Hockey has been giving their best effort every game so far, unfortunately they lost to Los Altos, however they take this as a loss to learn from, and believe in themselves that next time they face Los Altos the score will be different.
“Since we just played them we now know their team dynamic, and their strengths or weaknesses,” Sophomore Ella Renazco-Sperling said. “I think we could come back stronger in the second matchup and beat them.”
Offensively, the team was proud in their ability to set up good game plays and were taking a couple shots, however none coming through. Besides their offensive qualities, the team focused plenty on cutting down the amount of shots the Eagles took, leaving them with only 1 point for the whole game.
“The game in general wasn’t a score to look down on, we knew that if there was something on our offensive side that just wasn’t pulling through this game, we could’ve stopped them from taking shots, thanks to our defensive abilities.” Renazco-Sperling said.
The Vikings will play Los Altos again on Thursday, October 17th.
