On Thursday, Paly girls’ water polo played their last league game of the season and won 21-3 against Lynbrook High School. Tonight was the team’s senior night, and the girls’ spirits were high. After four years of high school water polo, the seniors would play their last league and home game, making for a truly emotional match.
As junior Estelle Dufour (26′) explained, “it was a bittersweet experience, celebrating the seniors and also their last home game. It was nice to see the whole team come together and play such amazing water polo. Our seniors did amazing.”
Junior Fallon Porter (26′) also added that “it was super nice to have so many people there supporting us during our senior night,”
Senior night aside, the game was I’m many ways a win for Paly girls’ water polo. With the common goal of making it a perfect match to send off the seniors, the team played excellently together.
In a sweet gesture to the seniors, “The first quarter we got to play all the seniors and they played well.” the game was full of “teamwork and collaboration” helping them “come away from this game with such a momentous lead.” Junior Fallon Porter (26′)
