Palo Alto girls soccer began their season with a tough match against Aragon, ultimately losing 3-1. Leading up to the game, the team felt ready to attack against their opponents. “We were all excited to get to play in our first game setting together as a team,” sophomore Mabel McCarter said.
Despite the outcome, McCarter feels proud of the effort that was put into playing. “During the game we were able to really work together on the field and give our best,” McCarter said.
McCarter predicts a bright future for the Vikings. “Even though we lost, I felt like it was a good experience that we can learn from so we can prepare for our season,” McCarter said. “With this in mind, in the future we can find a better result and get more familiar with each other.”
Girls soccer, similar to many teams, may face challenges early on, but can hold hope for the upcoming season all the same.
