In a statement victory on March 22, the Paly girls varsity swim team celebrated a hard-fought triumph over competitors Leland, Saint Francis, and Menlo Atherton. Reflecting on the meet, junior Romy Kirby expressed the challenges faced and the team’s response.
“It was a really rough meet for me, but the team came together super well,” Kirby said. “This was the first meet where competition was a little harder, so we had to work as a team more.”
The Vikings demonstrated their strength with standout performances from newer team members, contributing crucial points to secure a decisive win. Kirby emphasized the team’s collective motivation and readiness from the outset.
“Everyone was super motivated and ready to go right from the start,” Kirby said. “I think we have a really exciting future ahead of us.”
Looking forward, the Vikes are gearing up to face Saratoga at home on Friday, March 28. Kirby encouraged supporters to wear green and show their Paly spirit at the upcoming meet.
