Paly boys water polo beat Hillsdale yesterday evening with a final score of 21-12.

“Patience, hard work and strong communication are what makes Paly waterpolo Paly waterpolo and I think we executed on that today,” said assistant coach David Gormley.

One of the most important values for this team is maintaining a positive attitude all through each and every game.

“Something that’s crucial to waterpolo is emotional resilience as a team,” said Gormley. “In any game, the team is going to make a dozen terrible plays and a dozen amazing plays and the better team is the team that doesn’t have high highs and low lows, but just takes every event in in stride and focuses on the next right step.”

It was the Viking’s second league game, and their record is currently 2 and 0. They will be playing in the Soquel Tournament this weekend, and their next league game is against Homestead at home next Tuesday.
