In a home game on Tuesday, Paly softball lost to cross-town rivals Gunn 9-2. Despite a tough loss for the Vikings, the team still had fun.

“Even though our team and Gunn are rivals… the game was pretty fun. Most players had mutual friends on the other team, so it felt more like a big get-together just to play some softball,” said catcher Hana Foster ’24.

Foster noticed some places for improvement, but overall felt happy with the team’s play.

“Paly lost, but we didn’t beat ourselves up about it. We probably could have focused more on hitting during practice and worked on our baserunning,” said Foster.

Despite a loss, the Vikings kept their heads up and stayed postive.

“I’m very proud of the way we kept up our good spirits, and kept on treating it how it is, just a game,” said Foster.

The softball team will play Monte Vista in an away game on May 10th.
