Hi there! I'm Brian, and I am thrilled to be the adviser for Viking Sports Magazine. I have been advising high school publications for 27 years, the last nine at Palo Alto High School. I am a fan of teams that perpetually make me sad, currently headlined by my love of the Oakland A's. I grew up in Detroit and in 1984, when I was 10 years old, I was fortunate enough to attend two World Series games at Tiger Stadium; I didn't know at the time that that would be the last year the Detroit Tigers won it all. I also enjoy following what has historically been the worst team in the NFL, the Detroit Lions, who have won ONE playoff game since 1957 (I went to that game too, at the Pontiac Silverdome; I was a senior in high school at the time. See what I mean about sad teams? But this might be the Lions' year!). I also write a blog about ballparks called Ten Stadiums, Ten Days. I've been to 23 of the current 30 Major League stadiums.
