Paly girls soccer lost to Santa Clara 2-0 on Friday night. “We all played really well together as a team and created a lot of opportunities but unfortunately we were not able to get the outcome we wanted,” senior Willow Steele said.

The Vikings are now 3-8-1 in a season that has been riddled with controversy and an absence of upperclassmen. A lot of younger, more inexperienced players have been forced to step up, something that could potentially help the team in years to come.

The team has to look forward to an 8-3-2 Mountain View team that got the best of them 9-1 on January 6th. When asked about preparing for this challenge, Steele said, “We are going to stay positive and continue working hard in practice.”

The Vikings have 3 games left on their schedule, including a rematch against Santa Clara on Senior Night, February 10th.
