Paly wrestlers battled it out this weekend at the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League (SCVAL) finals, scoring fifth overall.

Six of the wrestlers placed in SCVALS and will compete in CCS.

Both Andrew Frick (’14) and Gary Hohback (’13) took first place in their division. Erik Anderson (’13), Eric Oshima (’16) and Jordan Gans (’14) each snagged fourth place. Alex Taussig (’13) got fifth and James Giaccia (’15) received sixth.

“I think we did really well for how tough the season was, what with the amount of injuries we had, the number of people who quit and how many of us got sick,” Frick said.

The team only lost one dual meet their entire season. They look for more success in the upcoming CCS Tournament.
