On Wednesday, April 22nd Palo Alto High lost in dramatic fashion in their home meet against Gunn. They only won a quarter of their races, which is mainly because of high end talent.
The meet overall was initially scheduled to be on April 21st, but it had gotten delayed because of the rain from days before. Initially, the meet was just delayed an hour before they moved it to the next day.
Despite the loss, sophomore Julia Walsh has positive things to say about the morale of the team.
“It was our last meet so the energy was pretty high,” Walsh said. “Everybody seemed really motivated to push themselves the most they could.”
Overall, the staff and players were proud that the team went out with grit, as they look to improve more next year.
