Throughout Paly water polo history, Los Altos has been one of the top competitors for our lady vikes. Tonight, the girls took on the Eagles and won 12-7.
This season has been especially strong for the girls, and they continue to impress themselves and their fans as practices and games push onward.
After a tiring game, starter Lydia Mitz (’25) shares her acknowledgment of the team’s success.
“I feel like we’ve gotten increasingly confident in our abilities as a team, and tonight only strengthened that confidence,” Mitz said. “We came out strong and are pretty happy with the outcome.”
With confidence comes shifts in goals and tactics for the rest of the season. Goalie Mary Henderson (’24) has been liking the progress the team is making and wants to see more as the year goes on.
“Every game is a learning experience and we have really been focusing on trying new things on offense,” Henderson said. “We definitely can reflect on moments of that game but overall we are definitely showing improvement as a team.”
This was another fun win for the ’23 water polo season, and there will be much more to come from our Paly girls team in the near future.
