Paly football defeated Half Moon Bay by a final score of 61-23 on senior night tonight.
Coming into the game, Paly has been in a slump, losing their previous four games. As a result, they came into the game with the mindset of needing a win, especially on senior night.
“It’s super special to win on senior night with these guys,” senior quarterback Declan Packer said. “I’ve been playing with some of these guys my whole life and its super nice to get a win.”
Paly felt that the key to a victory tonight was to execute all around, and they definitely achieved that.
“We wanted to come in and execute on all phases of the game and I think we did that,” Head Coach David DeGeronimo said.
Paly stepped it up on both sides of the ball tonight, with numerous long touchdown plays, and big-time defensive stops.
“Once we started establishing the run early, we were able to throw the ball, and then it is hard to stop us,” DeGeronimo said.
Overall, morale is back up for Paly football, and they hope to continue this momentum into their away game next Friday against Hillsdale.
