Paly football handled Seaside last night by a final score of 55-21 in the Division IV CCS Quarterfinals.
Paly got things going out of the gate, capitalizing on every opportunity given to them. The defense forced an early fumble and offense immediately scored a touchdown on the next drive, propelling them to a 27-7 halftime lead. Offense and defense continued to impress for the rest of the game, where Paly ultimately came out on top.
Paly’s offense felt a lot more comfortable this game which is a big contributor to scoring 55 points – their second-highest total of the season.
“We’re throwing a lot of new plays in there where we all understand our jobs now,” wide receiver Jason Auzenne (‘24) said. “I think that was a big part [of why we won].”
Paly has also grown a lot as a team through their ups and downs of the season, further allowing them to be successful.
“I feel like now we trust each other a lot more than what we did before,” Auzenne said.
With this impressive win, Paly advances to the semifinals of CCS where they will face Leigh next Friday (11/17) at home.
