The Paly Vikings took a tough loss against Menlo-Atherton on their senior night. Though they were going into the game winless, they were expecting to keep this game closer than how it panned out.
“At this point in the season, we know our team, and we weren’t expecting to win this game, but MA hasn’t had a great season either, and we definitely expected to do more,” Senior Jake Wang said.
Next week, the Vikings play Sacred Heart Prep, which is going to be their best shot at a win this season. Knowing this, they focused on learning from their loss against Menlo-Atherton and putting it behind them, as they are determined to get a win next week.
“We know our best chance at coming out of this season with a win is next week against Sacred Heart,” Senior Malcom Phillips said. “We have a lot to take away from this loss, and if we are able to learn and adjust from it we should come out of this season with a win.”
Although the season has not gone the way the Vikings had hoped so far, it is not over yet, and next week they have a chance at making sure they don’t go winless.
