The Paly boy’s volleyball team fell to Los Altos, 3-2, on Wednesday night.
Before the game, there was a ceremony celebrating the three seniors: Calvin Wong, Cruz Norte, and Nathaniel Ibuyan.
The Vikings started off the night strong, winning the first set 25-18.
They kept the strong start, winning the second set in a thrilling 31-29 victory.
However, Los Altos stormed back, winning the third set 25-19.
The energy stayed with Los Altos as they won set four, 25-15.
Heading into the fifth and final set, the Vikings looked to avoid the reverse sweep. They started the set off strong, commanding a lead of 14-10. The Vikings needed only one more point to end the game, yet Los Altos gained momentum and tied the game at 14-14. In an exciting back-and-forth set five, Los Altos came out victorious winning 19-17.
Although the Vikings lost, there were many positives from the night. “I think we played super well,” Calvin Wong (‘23) said. “The energy in the gym was crazy, and I couldn’t have asked for a better senior night.”
