The Vikings continued their win streak with a dominating home win over Wilcox. The Victory was a showcase of their confidence and marked them as a contending team.
“Our team as a whole performed really well yesterday, and I am really happy with how the season is going so far,” junior Yuvan Vishakin said. “We are on the upward trend and hopefully there are more wins on the way.”
The Vikings performed pretty poorly last season and the 3 and 2 start this season is showing improvement. Their biggest win of the season came against Gunn where they won with a score of 17-13.
“Gunn wasn’t in our division last year; they just moved up,” junior Nathan Chang said. “We hope to send them back down this season.”
The Vikings’ next match is against Lynbrook, which is historically known as one of the best badminton teams in the division. The Vikings are looking to defy the odds and come away with an upset.
