Paly baseball lost to Los Gatos 13-0 at Palo Alto High School on Friday, April 18.
The team was coming off of a close 10-7 loss against Los Gatos on Wednesday, and they came into this game with hopes to even the series between Los Gatos and Paly.
Los Gatos got off to quick lead after the first inning through well-hit balls. Paly tried to battle to cut the lead down, however, the Cats never wavered at all in this game, ending in shutout, and winning the game 13-0.
“We did not play well overall as a team and have to find a way to bounce back from this loss,” junior Jose Pinto said.
Offensively, Paly could not get anything going offensively, and Los Gatos kept increasing the lead every inning.
“We have to keep fighting, no matter what happens, and keep trying to get the bats rolling,” sophomore Justin Fung said.
Paly is still in the battle for a league champ with a record of 6-3. They hope to use this loss to empower them for the rest of the season and continue to fight and battle to win this year.
