This past spring, Paly’s boys’ varsity lacrosse team had a phenomenal season, finishing with a solid record of 12–8, including non-league games.
“I thought the chemistry was really good this year, the team was giving lots of assists to each other, and the energy was up throughout the whole season,” senior Micah Rege said.
The boys made Division Two CCS and earned the top seed in their bracket. The team advanced all the way to the finals but unfortunately fell to Mitty. Although they didn’t get the outcome they were hoping for, they were still proud of the team’s progress and teamwork this year.
“Most seniors here have been playing since their freshmen year and have had multiple years to really get to know each other, and get the chemistry on the field, and that really showed in our game,” Rege said.
The team was mainly made up of seniors this year—12 in total—which will definitely have an impact next season.
“I’ll definitely miss the pre-game bus rides and just overall the pre-game hype of chanting, playing music, and just getting ready for games,” Rege said.
The team hopes to continue to improve, as they also made it far along in CCS the year before!
