Paly Girls Lacrosse suffered a tough loss to Saint Francis 17-1 at home on March 13, 2026. Being the first game of the season, it served an important purpose in testing the team’s resilience against a strong team.
“I think that we played really well and we had high intensity the whole time, which I think helped us,” Junior Ella Guhr said. “I’m also really proud of us for keeping our heads up no matter the score, so I think we had a great mentality overall. Keeping our energy up throughout the entire game has been a goal of ours this season, which is something we were able to accomplish at this game.”
The Vikings continued to compete with determination, regardless of their trailing score. The girls’ ability to stay focused and maintain scoring shows their teamwork.
“The game against Saint Francis was very tough since they were a really strong team, but I think that we did a good job of keeping our intensity and mentality up despite the score,” Junior Tessa Chang. “We were able to keep fighting for the ball and had a lot of good communication and teamwork.”
The team’s effort and mindset highlight their potential moving forward, as they look to bring in future wins and keep their good mindset.
