The Palo Alto boys volleyball team took on Los Altos on Friday, March 20th. The Vikings ended up beating Los Altos 3-0 with a statement performance. They went into this game with a high level of focus and took this game very seriously as they knew this game was a very important game to win in order to do well in league.
“We were aware that this team would be one of if not the best team in our league,” Dixon (27) said.
Although the Vikings were very focused leading up to this game, they did have some doubts in their abilities.
“Many of us didn’t expect to win, saying that we should just try to have fun this game. However, this mentality led to us trying new things, and succeeding. We played the best we ever had during this game, and beat Los Altos convincingly,” Dixon (27) said.
Although this Viking team consists of many team wins, the main secret to their win today was their setter, Nico.
“The main thing that carried us to victory was our serving, where Nico got 10 aces,” Dixon (27) said.
This match is a very big win for the team, and gives them great momentum for their next league games against Gunn, Fremont, and Santa Clara.
