On Tuesday April 28, Paly boys golf shot 384 on a 355 par, placing third at Santa Teresa Golf Club in San Jose.
Performance wise, this season was underwhelming for the Vikings.
“We could’ve advanced if we didn’t make so many mistakes,” senior Luke Lew said. “There were a lot of double bogeys.”
Paly’s top player, Bryan Yu, was sidelined due to a dispute.
“Our best player was sidelined the whole season which made things a lot more difficult,” Lew said.
There were still positives to come from the season. The team made the best with what they had and many players developed well.
“It was really fun and I think everyone tried their hardest,” senior Dylan Liao said. “That is all you can really ask for.”
Despite the bumps in the road, Lew is still hopeful for the future of the team.
“There were a lot of players that improved this year,” Lew said. “The team is definitely very promising for the upcoming years.”
