Paly baseball lost to Homestead 4-5 on May 9.
After winning at Homestead two days ago, the Vikings lost at home to Homestead in a close game. Junior pitcher Ian Johnston talks about his thoughts on the game.
“We didn’t come out as strong as we hoped for, but we didn’t give up and made a push in the bottom of the seventh, but it wasn’t enough,” Johnston said. “It came down to them having less errors than us, which is something we know we have to work on.”
It’s tough to lose to a team that you have beaten before, but the Vikings can not let this keep them from ending the season strong. Junior infielder and outfielder Jose Pinto shares his thoughts on the loss.
“It’s tough losing right after we just beat them, but we need to focus on winning these last three games of the season to carry momentum into playoffs,” Pinto said.
