Paly baseball beat Wilcox 9-5 on April 6.
The Vikings put together a strong performance and stayed in control for most of the game. Paly did a good job responding when Wilcox put pressure on, and the team was able to keep scoring enough runs to stay ahead as the game went on.
The Vikings stayed composed and played with energy on both sides of the ball. By continuing to make plays when they needed to and adding runs in key moments, Paly was able to keep momentum and close out the win. The team stayed together throughout the game and did not let Wilcox make a late comeback. Paly’s steady play helped it stay in front from the middle innings to the final out.
“We stayed together, kept putting runs on the board, and finished the game strong,” junior Rex Martin said.
The victory gave the Vikings another solid result as they continued to build confidence during the season.
