Paly girls swim and dive held the annual senior night swim meet on Friday night, this year against cross-town rivals Gunn high school.
Taking an early lead from the start, the Vikings dominated the meet, ultimately boasting a final score of 116-70.
“It was probably my favorite meet out of all four years,” Katie Spitzer (’25) said. “I was so glad I got to share it with our class that is so big this year.”
The win only added to the celebration of this year’s senior class of swimmers, which is a larger group than usual, and a group that has brought the team to dominance this year.
Paly is undefeated in league, and they hope to carry this momentum into championship season as both the girls and boys teams are projected to place high in CCS championships, as well as win the league championship.
“I really enjoyed senior night because I got to celebrate with my class and a bunch of friends came out to support, so the energy was great,” Svina Narang (‘25) said.
The vikings placed first in 8 out of the 11 possible races, and won both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays, bringing in some major points that contributed to the win.
