The Paly boy’s varsity soccer team took a 2-0 win when they faced Cupertino on Wednesday, February 5. Starting the game off strong, the team kept good distribution with great passes.

The two stars of the game, Alex Siegel (‘20) and Marc Essindi (‘20) each made one of their team’s points. Even though only two team members scored, the win was a whole team effort.

Marcus Ama (‘20) further elaborates when he states that “this game against Cupertino was one of our best games of the season, we distributed the ball, kept possession, and prevented them from creating any danger attacks.”

The win against Cupertino was a win that the Vikings needed after starting their season with a rocky start. Ama explains “I’m glad to see our team gel together and get the results we deserve”.

This just goes to prove that hard work and dedication always pays off in the end. However, for this game, playing unified was the key element for their success Wednesday night. The Vikings continue to play and work hard.
