On February 12, the Vikings tied Homestead High School 1–1 in a Senior Night matchup that brought a lot of emotion and energy to the field. Paly started strong, scoring early when Oliver Payne put the Vikings ahead and lifted the home crowd.
After the opening goal, Paly continued to play with confidence, moving the ball well and staying aggressive in the attacking half. Homestead responded with more pressure and eventually found an equalizer, setting up a tense second half where both teams were clearly hunting for a winner.
The Vikings kept fighting through the final minutes, creating chances and defending with urgency, but the score stayed even.
Senior Liam Johnson discusses the game.
“Again, great team performance on senior night, Oliver Payne had a great early goal, and I think overall we were happy with the result,” Johnson (26) said.
The match ended in a tie, but it was still a meaningful night for the team, especially the seniors, and another example of Paly’s consistency in league play.
