Paly boys soccer played Los Gatos to a 0–0 tie on February 5, continuing a stretch of close league games where every possession mattered. Both teams played with urgency, and the match stayed tight throughout as defenders on both sides consistently shut down dangerous runs.
Paly created opportunities through quick passes and wide play, and the Vikings had moments where it looked like they were one clean touch away from scoring. Los Gatos, meanwhile, threatened on counters and long balls, but Paly’s defense stayed organized and handled pressure well.
Even as the match got more intense late, the Vikings kept their composure and continued to push forward, helped by the energy coming from the sideline.
Senior Liam Johnson talks about this energy on the sideline. “Team performance overall was great on the field, but gotta hand it to the bench and having everybody step up and got everybody motivated, and they went crazy all game,” Johnson (26′) said.
By the final whistle, neither team had found the breakthrough, and the Vikings walked away with another hard-earned draw.
