The Palo Alto High School Boys Baseball team defeated Gunn for the second time this week. They won at home with a score of 6-2, and two days prior, they won 5-3 at Gunn.

“We worked really well as a team and had great energy the entire time,” Nate Donaker (’24) said.

The Vikings maintained their lead for pretty much the entire game, with solid pitching by Henry Harding (’25) and Kanghee Cho (’25) that shut down the Titans.

“We had great defense and timely hitting,” Joseph Kessler (’25) said. “We were also able to pick each other up throughout the game.”

Kessler himself scored on an RBI by Donaker after Donaker had a long at-bat, lasting numerous foul balls.

Further into the game, Zach Thom (’24) got a hit that allowed for Coco Vonderhaar (’25) and Cho, to score.

Besides those runs, Donaker and Ari Smolar-Eisenburg (’24) also scored, and Kessler scored a second one for the Vikings as well.

The team finished off the successful game with a barbeque right outside the Peery Family Center, which was a perfect way to end the evening.

Come out to the boys’ next match against Los Altos this Wednesday!
