The boys swim team had an amazing season this spring after winning CCS and placing second at states. The team has become the fastest public school swim team in the state of California.

Even though the team lost many seniors, new captains JJ Stoen, Ethan Harrington, Arthur Balva, Henry Gibbs, and Ethan Chien were able to rally the team together and keep the team motivated as the season progressed.

However, the season didn’t go as many athletes predicted. The team, unfortunately, lost to Leland by two points. Despite losing their 4-year win streak to Leland, the swim team bounced back, improved their times, and won the remainder of the season. From there, the team moved on and dominated CCS, becoming back-to-back CCS champions.

At states, the team placed second in the 400-yard freestyle relay and third in the 200-yard freestyle. Both relay teams consisted of seniors Ethan Harrington, JJ Stoen, Arthur Balva, and Henry Gibbs.

With the swim season ending, many swimmers are shifting back into their clubs and working hard to improve during the off-season to come back even stronger next year.
