The Vikings pulled off their closest win of the season against Cupertino. After a bad loss against them in their season opener, the Vikings were ecstatic to be able to pull off this victory. This turnaround shows how much the team has improved throughout the season.
“We had lost to them in the first match of the season, so we really wanted this win,” junior Jayden Richards said.
After losing to Lybrook badly a week before, the Vikings needed a rebound and this win couldn’t have come at a better time. It served not only as a morale booster, but also a reminder that they were right in contention with others.
“I think we played pretty good, it was a close match and at the end we finished on top,” junior Tirian Melean said.
The Viking’s next matchup is a highly anticipated rematch with Milpitas who they had previously lost to earlier in the season.
