Boys Volleyball dropped 3 of 5 games in a tournament on April 5th.
Games were played in a first to two sets format, with the Vikings trying to take advantage of the slightly shortened games.
However, the Vikings dropped the first two games to Sacred Heart Cathedral and Homestead by scores of 2-1 and 2-0 respectively.
“We went undefeated in league, but it is important to play to our level and not the other team’s,” sophomore Tiam Maurstad said.
The Vikings bounced back to win a nail-biter against Carlmont, with the last set being won 19-17, but they were unable to keep the momentum going into the next game, losing to Los Gatos in a more lopsided game.
The Vikings ended up defeating Leigh to end the tournament on a good note, but overall, the tournament was unsuccessful.
“We can definitely be more successful at tournaments in the future,” Maurstad said.
