The girls lacrosse team defeated Mountain View during their home game on 4/4 with a final score of 16-2. The girls started strong, fought hard, and competed with high energy.
The win was attributed to the team’s strong coordination and dominance, as sophomore Zoe Quintana highlights.
“Our midfielders really dominated on draw circle, which helped us gain a lot of possessions and keep the momentum of the game,” Quintana said. “We kept on communicating all over the field, so we were really connected.”
This game was a good momentum shift for the team after coming off of three consecutive losses.
“We had a couple losses before, so this big win was a great way to get back on our feet and start start the week off strong,” Junior Keerthi Raj said.
The high lead boosted the team’s morale and allowed the players to have some fun.
“Mountain view has always been a big competitor, so it was great that we came out with a bang,” Raj said. “A lot of players scored amazing goals, and a lot of players got the opportunity is to play.”
