The Vikings secured a dominant 22-8 win over Homestead, marking their strongest performance of the season and improving their record to 4-3. After a tough loss to Lynbrook the week before, this victory gives the team the momentum and boost that they are looking for.
“This win really helped us bounce back,” junior Tirian Melean said. “We came in with a lot more energy and focus, and it showed on the court.”
The Vikings controlled the match from the start, with strong showings in both singles and doubles. The win also sets the stage for a critical rematch against Cupertino, who bested the Vikings in the first match of the season
“We’ve been working hard since that loss,” junior Nathan Chang said. “We’re excited for the rematch and ready to prove ourselves.”
After a dominant win, the Vikings feel very confident going into their next match and hope to expand on their current winning streak.
