The Vikings fell 23-7 to Lynbrook in one of their final matches of the season. Despite the loss, the team has remained focused on progress and improvement, especially against the division’s top team.
“We knew we were going into a tough match as Lynbrook is the top team in the division,” junior Yuvan Vishakin said. “Our goal was to do better than we did in our first game.”
While the scoreboard didn’t reflect a win, the Vikings saw better rallies and more competitive sets compared to their first matchup with Lynbrook earlier in the season. The team now looks ahead to their final match with hopes of finishing strong.
“We’ve grown a lot as a team, and now it’s about ending the season on a high note,” junior Gary Yan said. “We’re going to give it everything we have in our last match.”
The Vikings look to take on Homestead for their last match of the season. Having already played them and beaten them, the team is feels fairly confident going into it.
