The Palo Alto volleyball team has been cruising throughout October. They haven’t lost in a month and are currently holding a 12 game winning streak. Teammates are feeling overjoyed and pumped up within each win. They have displayed a good amount of potential for games to come.
After her win, sophomore Genevieve Lee commented on their winning streak by saying, “I think it really reflects the amount of work we’ve put in and how much trust we have in each other. Winning 12 straight shows our consistency and focus, but we’re not satisfied with just that. This is motivation to keep raising our standard every game and stay disciplined so we can carry this momentum into the rest of the season.”
It feels like PALY’s new MO is to keep games close, and that’s no different here. Don’t let the 3-1 score fool you, this was a close game all around. In nearly every set, Monta Vista kept the margin of victory under 5 by achieving at least 20 points in 3 of the 4.
Palo Alto was the more complete team however, and that was shown on the court where they were able to lock in in each crucial portion of the game.
Overall, the team as a whole is trending up as they look on to their next and final matchup on the 21st; where they’d have their 3rd to last game.
