Paly’s Girls golf team took down Cupertino in a tightly contested match on Wednesday. Winning by seven strokes, the team was able to finish their season – and senior night – on a positive note.
After a frustrating defeat against Cupertino earlier in the season, this match provided a final opportunity for the team to exact revenge and cement their place near the top of the standings.
“We really wanted to win today,” Jessica Wong (’26) said. “Because we lost to them last time, it felt really good to get this one.”
The team finished tied-second in the league, with an overall record of seven wins and three losses. In a season that improved on last year’s six and four record, winning on senior night was a final celebratory send-off.
“We won by seven, which was especially exciting because it was our senior night,” Wong said. “The season is basically over, but we did super well.”
The team now heads into CCS, with the SCVAL tournament set to take place on 10/28.
