On Tuesday, January 6th, Palo Alto High School came up on top against Mountain View in a 46-41 point victory. Palo Alto senior forward Jake Wang explained their gameplan going into the game.
“Our defensive plan was to limit their best player and force the rest of their team to make plays,” Wang said.
This gameplan worked perfectly, as Mountain View’s supporting cast was not able to step up, with one of their players making zero out of his eleven attempted three-pointers.
Junior forward Anton Gerdemann talked about what went well for them and what ultimately led to them getting the win.
“We ran our offense really well and got a lot of easy buckets. Our offense was just flowing,” Gerdemann said.
This was a big bounce-back win for the Vikings, who are now looking to start a winning streak.
