The Palo Alto Viking Boys Soccer team beat Leland High School 6-1 on Tuesday, December 9th.
Following two game win streak against Santa Clara and Saratoga last week, the Palo Alto Boys Soccer team was looking to continue their momentum and to play their best ball. The game had a quick start, and it was tied 1-1 in the early parts of the game. But after it was tied, Los Altos started to score and pull away with the game.
“We were off to a good start, but we lost our focus towards the end of the first half,” senior Cole Baker said. “Next game we’ll look to not get complacent, especially when we’re up.”
The Vikings just could not hold on and let their guard down.
“In all of our games in the league so far, we have been winning at some point in the game,” senior Max Nicole said. “We need to focus on keeping the lead once we have it, and we need to work on closing out the game.”
The Vikings now start the season with three wins, four losses, and one tie. They hope to keep this momentum going and will face off against Pioneer (5-2-1) this Thursday.
