Girls Soccer Team Ties 0-0 Against Homestead

Sofia Leva and Hailey Callan

The Paly Varsity Girls Soccer Team tied with a score of 0-0 to Homestead at home on Friday, March 26th.

There were many close shots from both teams, but the two goalkeepers prevented any goals from being scored.

The intensity of the game resulted in fouls being called on both teams, and some Paly team members getting hurt.

“In this game, we just needed to take more shots and test their goalie earlier,” Brighid Baker (‘22) said. “We had opportunities in the first half but couldn’t quite finish them.”

The girls hope to improve their team chemistry and strategy on the field as the season goes on.

“I think we have a lot of potential, but at the moment we’re not playing as a team,” Baker said. “Once we build good relationships we will be able to play better together.”

The next game for the team is on Friday, April 2nd at Mountain View High School.
