Girls Varsity soccer fell to Mountain View on Friday with a final score of 3-0. Junior captain Kiana Feldis is proud of the way the team held its ground.

“It was definitely a tough game for the team but I think we really stepped up and improved a lot since we played them last time, which showed on the scoreboard for sure,” Feldis said. “I’m proud of that and we just have to keep our heads up.”

As Feldis stated, the girls have improved dramatically since their last face-off against this team, as the last game was a 7 – 1 loss. Junior Alessandra Chandler elaborates on the improvements made by the team.

“We had a lot of good shots and good passes,” Chandler said. “Our coach said we connected over 100 passes which is good, however, I think we need to learn how to keep the energy up even after we get scored on.”

Given that many of their players are gone, the team has been keeping up the hard work, now with a record of 7-4-2 overall.

On February 1st, the girls are set to play Homestead for the second time this season.
