The Lady Vikes crushed the Los Gatos Wildcats 60-41 last night in the Peery Center during Senior Night.

Friday night marked senior Carly Leong’s final league game at Paly, and what a night to remember. As the only senior on the team, all eyes were on her as her four years of dedication to the varsity squad were honored and praised. Cheered on by her teammates, family, coaches, and friends, Leong began and ended her senior night with a smile that stretched from ear to ear.

Going from the Senior Night ceremony to the game had everyone on the team in high spirits, and that quickly translated into an exemplary display of teamwork on the court. By the end of the first half, the Vikings were leading 15-4.

That being said, the low score Paly feeling uneasy, but thanks to Annika Shah (‘21), their worries were quickly laid to rest. Shah had an outstanding game and continued to hit threes left and right. The Vikings held onto their lead until the final buzzer.

Paly is now looking ahead toward their next game on Friday, February 16 against Cupertino at 6:15.
