The Palo Alto girl’s water polo team is hosting their second annual Thread-a-Thon this year on Friday, September 28. The event starts at 4:00 and ends at 8:30, and will be centered around a beach party theme.

The point of this Tread-a-Thon is to fundraise money for the Beyond Barriers Athletic Foundation. For any money made, underprivileged students will be able to get aquatic scholarships so that they can take their passions to college with them.

The team is stoked to hold this event from the second year in a row, and everyone, especially their coach Doug Stotland, is excited to raise money for such an influential cause.

“We’re also fired up to build in last year’s 1st ever Paly Polo Tread-a-thon success to rally the entire school for a beach afternoon at the pool to raise money for Beyond Barriers which is not only a great way for us to help a high impact organization but also a great way to come together as a team”, Stotland said.

The entrance fee for students is three dollars, and five dollars for adults, food and beverages will be Tread-a-Thon. There will also be games, a raffle and a showing on the movie Moana. The team encourages lots of paly students to come out and support a good cause, while also having a good time.
