Last Thursday, December 7th, the Paly girls basketball team faced off against Evergreen Valley and were outperformed by the girls of Evergreen Valley with a final score 60-13

“We are just starting our season, so we have a lot of things to work on and build off of each other,” Freshman Elif Dogan Explains

The Vikings lost the game early on with Evergreen Valley scoring key baskets within the first quarter

“It was nice having the opportunity for us to get to know each others playing styles,” Freshman Elena Salvatierra Aspen Stitt said.

The girls spent the second half of the game fighting for opportunities to narrow the lead.

“Working on our passing skills and defense was nice, especially in such a competitive environment,” Freshman Ella Hoy said.

With the team’s momentum starting off slowly, the girls Basketball team has a lot of key points they need to work on in order to make this season better.
