Despite losing key players due to preseason injuries and seniors going off to college, Paly’s baseball team, through commitment and dedication, willed out a respectable season.
The Vikings finished with an overall record of 14-14 and an impressive 10-4 league record. Junior pitcher Ian Johnston shares his thoughts on the season.
“We had a rough first half of the season, but we did not let that defince us, and we completely turned the second half of our season around, Johnston said.
Though they lost their first game in playoffs, they do not consider this season as a failure, and are hopeful for the future.
“It is tough to end the season on a game that you know you could’ve won, but we have to focus on next season, which is looking like it’s going to be a good one.”
